EKURWE: THE LAST HEARD ABOUT THE BROKEN POT

EKURWE: THE LAST HEARD ABOUT THE BROKEN POT

The Igede people left Sabon-Gida Oraa amidst the broken pot skirmishes.

Who will help us with information about the broken pot? What actually happened with the broken pot? What was the last discussion about the broken pot? As we look for any useful information about the broken pot in Oraa, LET ME WRITE A POEM ON UNFORGIVENESS.

Unforgiveness is a heavy weight,

That drags us down at an alarming rate.

It poisons our hearts and clouds our mind,

Leaving us confused and blind.

Bitterness, resentment, and anger,

Are the fruits that unforgiveness does render.

It eats away at our soul,

Until it feels like we have lost all control.

It's a burden that we carry,

That makes us feel ever so weary.

It prevents us from moving on,

And holds us captive until dawn.

Forgiveness, on the other hand,

Is a balm that heals our wounds and mend.

It frees us from the shackles of pain,

And gives us hope and peace again.

So let go of hate and malice,

And embrace love and kindness.

For forgiveness is the key,

That unlocks the door to a heart that's free.

Forgiveness is a bittersweet act,

An offering of peace or a loaded contract.

It can bridge the gap of warring hearts,

Or be a flimsy coating over gaping marks.

How often we've heard the words "I forgive,"

But actions and attitudes refuse to give.

Words are hollow, promises empty,

Leaving in their wake a betrayal quite hefty.

And yet, we see the opposite extreme,

Hypocrisy cloaked in forgiveness' gleam.

Those who speak of love and harmony,

But hold grudges, spewing animosity.

So, which is worse, insincerity or hypocrisy?

Both taint the beauty of forgiveness' dignity.

For true forgiveness is born of heart and soul,

An act that makes the brokenness whole.

LET US STRIVE FOR SINCERITY IN FORGIVENESS' FACE.

No shaking, I still stand with IGEDE WOMEN and their UPWU UTU march of June 14 2023.
