EKURWE: THE SAD REALITY ABOUT IBILLA AND OJU CRISIS

myekeemedia

The second write-up about the crisis from EKURWE: IGEDE WATCH and maybe the last.

I watched the video report about the crisis, and my sleep and peace disappeared, not about the destruction and the killings but when the Nigeria Police paraded the line-up of the young people caught.

The saying by a philosopher ERICH HARTMANN flashed through my mind, and I trembled as if a dose of electric charge ran through my spine. He said, and I quote, “War is a place where young people who don’t know each other and don’t hate each other kill each other, by the decision of old people who know each other and hate each other, but don’t kill each other and shake hands at the end of the war.”– Erich Hartmann.

NO ELDER OR ELITE OR THE CHILDREN OF THE ELITES IN THE LINE-UP. COULD IT BE THAT THEY ARE OBLIVIOUS TO THE WHOLE THING AND ARE NOT PART OF IT?

These young people may be in school, newly married, planning to marry, or making a living through farming. Now their lives and future are in the hands of the country’s law as they will be charged to court. To those that died, may God find their soul worthy of eternal rest.

I still stand with IGEDE WOMEN and their UPWU UTU march of June 14 2023.
