OJA NYAM HAM (I love my tribe)


It was an epoch making as the whole Igede Nation residing in Oju and Obi Local Government Areas of Benue State, Nigeria, sat for Igede Language Competition held on the 7th September, 2022. at the Oju Local Government Council Hall


The event was to test the abilities of her illustrious sons and daughters cut across the villages in Igede Land to verify the Igede Language Knowledge on her citizens and to reward them accordingly as they mark out the best out of the Contestants.


The Founder and the Supporters of the Initiative was in Attendance to ensure that, the competition is a hug success. Indeed, it went well.


According to the synopsis from the Secretary/Coordinator of the Competition from the time past, it was reviewed that the competition has been in Existence for about Four (4) years already.


From the Detail Analysis on the 2022. Edition, The founder of the Initiative was in Attendance with his Colleagues that contributed immensely to the growth of the event. Some of the Dignitaries.

To the Glory of God, all the Contestants went home with a tokens to encourage their participation.


According to the Founder, Chief. Patrick Akobo Ulaka who hails from Inyuma Uwokwu of Oju LGA of Benue State, in his Closing remarks Appreciated everyone who took part in the Annual Igede Language Competition, 2022. and encourage everyone to embrace Igede language more than before, for the Contemporary generation to produce a Fulfilling Future of the Yet Born Igede Citizens home and diaspora.

He further assured all Igede Nation that, the formal Awards are going to be presented to the First Three Best comes October, 2022. at the Oju Local Government Headquarters by the Organizers of the Annual Igede Language Competition in the forthcoming IGEDE Language Conference 2022.


He finally told the house of the Ongoing Negotiation with the Agba Radio to create a forum whereby, Igede Language can be taught on air for the consumption of her Citizens and whosoever that is interested on the God-Given-Language, Igede.
