LIFE and Death of great men all remind us that we can make our lives sublime,.And departing leaves behind footprints on the sand of time.
Let us then be up and doing, with a heart for any fate. Still achieving, still pursuing learning to labour and to wait.
If to live is to be known, PRINCE OGIRI AJENE lived life to its fullest.
If to die is to be forgotten, PRINCE AJENE truly will never die, for he shall forever live in the hearts of the many people he touched with his compassionate hand.
On the human side of perfection, late PRINCE AJENE was gold of inestimable value, he was perhaps the best example of a corresponding ransom in the political dispensation of our time.
His death has stymied the good plans he had for the good people of his local government area. His demise has created a political confusion, as the falcons cannot heed the calls of the falconers…….. but, one will always make life tarry even with all the adversity.
PRINCE OGIRI AJENE was a man of ebullient, loving, delight to behold. Noble-kind-heart-minded personality. His rational mind created a good political atmosphere for many odds, which was his fault.
At any time he was in his best frame of mind, he will definitely and lavishly entertain U with his philosophical experience. He told me one day, “you can be a very radical and ideological sound man, but if you practice a politics of exclusion, you are bound to fail”, that he accommodated many political nuisances with their values and many nobles.
He always emphasized about the Child’s Education of one book, one- pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world. A man who shake the windows and rattled the walls of understanding among the people who cared and listened to him.
His action spoke louder than his words, and the gravity of his one word is too many to what others may speak.
One of his philosophies of “hurry-slowly” on account of how some of the politician’s drives for success could be so overwhelmed, that many are rushing to cross the red line of decency to attain self-goal through blackmail- just to earn some accolades from a dangerously permissive society like ours.
Even with our suicide interest, were we able to achieve our political distinctions yesterday and today? Good parental value is key to transformation- before any meaningful transformation can take place, we must go back to the basics; the home front, because to pull Igede-nation out of the brink requires good parental up-brings.
Igede-nation is a cradle of our greatness. It is the land of our dreams, opportunities, possibilities and destinies. It is a fact of history that when someone dishes, and grows among advanced and noble people, he is more likely to imbibe their civilization with great ease.
This was my case with the late Prince Ajene. I will always remember the inspired sense of awe in his embodiment of perfection. When Prince Ajene saw through some characters of some people and their bald-faced lies, the charlatanry in the politics of our locality, who are not just murderous treachery, but night-killers, and he decided to avoid them, they called him a political-duck.
He stated this some years when he was saddened at vitriol spewed at him directly or indirectly by jealous political specialists with some swathes of ill-minds towards his conscious effort to recognise the stellar citizens and their noble work, who was dead many years, and he decided to position their sons in the office of responsibility was his sin and offence.
Prince Ogiri Ajene was a former Deputy Governor of Benue State and former Councilor who represented Obarike Municipal Council ward, clocked his 7th years in grave after greatly serving and impacting on the lives of statements of men. I am calling on all the Igede-nation and Benue people particularly politicians to reflect on his lifestyle on Earth.
It is important for Igede-nation, in particular, to work out modalities of how to immortalize the late Prince Ogiri Ajene to serve as a means of encouragement for those who are presently in a position of authority to note that the society closely watching while history and posterity will judge us after our demise.
I enjoin all the political office holders to realize that death is unpredictable as it is inevitable, and as such, we should pay attention to the plights of our people while alive so that they can be remembered for their good when they depart this world. The world is a void!!!
