Comr Dan Onda, a board member of the Benue Investment and Property Company, BIPC, was at 2022 Igede Agba festival decorated with a high Chieftaincy title of 'Amijika Ny'Igede' by Igede traditional ruler, Chief Oga Ero.
Comr. Onda who was so honoured among a few others, said he was highly elated and humbled for the honour done him.
The royal father, Chief Ero, said Comr Onda whose profile below tells much, was given the high chieftaincy title for his marked community development efforts in Igedeland and Benue State in general.

There are achievers everywhere who go unacknowledged without the deserved accolades because of the wrong perception of who an achiever is. An achiever is a person who tirelessly contributes under the most trying circumstances, an individual who acts unselfishly and who makes selfless sacrifices beyond expectation, positively touching the lives of all and sundry.
This is the stuff Comr. Dan Onda is made of.
Born on 2nd May, 1979 in Lagos State, he started his primary school education at Army Children Primary School, Okwunanu, Enugu State. He later transferred to Army Children Primary School, Rukuba, Jos, Plateau State. He continued to Pilot Primary School , Ibila Centre, where he finally obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in1990.
He attended Government Secondary School, Ikachi for his post primary education, where he got his Senior Secondary Certificate with flying colours in 1996.
His desire to deepen his intellectual capacity propelled him to secure admission into the prestigious University of Jos, Plateau, where he bagged Bachelor of Science in Botany (Biotechnology) in 2005. In keeping with his insatiable quest for self-development, he enrolled at Benue State University, Makurdi, Benue State, where he earned his Masters of Science degree in Geography (Enviromental and Resource Management) in 2016.
He has served in various positions in Benue State and outside the State including Student Industrial Working Experience Scheme (SIWES) with Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB), Jos Plateau State in 2004.
His working experience began with a one-year call to duty (NYSC ) to serve his fatherland with National Agency for Food & Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) headquarters , FCT- ABUJA, where he served as a Regulatory officer in 2006. He later got a job with a private organization, Gobok Company Nigeria Limited where he rose through the rank from Branch Manager, 2008, Operation Manager 2011 to General Manager in 2012.
He, thereafter, ventured into private concern, where he established his business organization, Onidati Nigeria Limited in 2012 and today holds sway as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company.
It is gratifying to note that apart from serving in the private sector, he also had rewarding public services. He served as Member, Benue State Hospitals Management Board from 2016 to 2019 and still serves as a Board Member, Benue Investment Property Company Ltd (BIPC) a position he holds from 2019 .
Comrade Dan belongs to several professional bodies including Institute of Political Administration and Management (IPAM), Botanical Society of Nigeria, among others.
For want of time, Comrade Onda has also rendered services to humanity where he held responsible and responsive positions from his university days. These include: Chief of Staff, Student Union Government, University of Jos; Secretary General, Botanical Society of Nigeria, University of Jos Chapter; Chairman Board Standing Committee on Finance and General Purpose (HMB); Chairman Board Standing Committee on Junior Staff Matters & Promotion (HMB) ; Chairman board standing committee on Risk Assets & Investment Management (BIPC) ; Chairman board standing committee on Audit (BIPC); Chairman, Selection Committee of First Class and Third Class Chiefs in Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo
Local Government Areas, Benue State in 2017.
For the records, Comrade Dan Onda has influenced the employment of Igede indigenes and others into Benue State Civil Service, just as he has severally out of pure milk of human kindness given scholarship and help to Igede indigent students in higher institutions of learning.
Other areas where Comr Dan Onda has impacted the community is in the provision of source of drinking water in his immediate commmunity just as many Igede workers have benefitted his gestures including the facilitation of thier transfer of service, change of cadre, conversion of service, among others.
Though not given or carried away by awards, in recognition and appreciation of his sterling qualities and taintless service to humanity, various organizations have honoured him with distinguished awards. These include; Friend of Amono kingdom; Pillar of Igede Students Union and Humanitarian Award by Treasure House Book Club, amongst others.
Comr. Dan Onda is an enigma, a goal-getter, a man of humane disposition, diligent , compassionate, unassuming, a community developer, philanthropist and God-fearing.
This fascinating young man is happily married to Tina and the union is blessed with a son.
