As we mark the one year anniversary of the passing of our beloved Bishop, we are reminded of the great loss we suffered as a community of believers. Bishop Ochete was not only a spiritual leader but a father figure to many of us. His words of wisdom, guidance, and love continue to resonate with us even after his passing.
I am particularly grateful for the time I had with him and the impact he made in the church of God in Igede land, not only in Methodist, but in the body of Christ. You inspired many to live a life of purpose, service, and compassion for others. Your legacy lives on through our shared faith, values, and dedication to the church and the cause of the gospel of Christ.
We will not forget in a hurry your sense of humour and social interaction without class. With you no dull moments! Today we remember with nostalgia your 365 days of absence in the body and we say–Rest well at the feet of Christ you loved and served. Let us keep his family and loved ones in our prayers and ask for God’s blessings upon them.
