Poor political leaders may be more concerned with maintaining their own power and prestige than with serving the needs of their communities. It is only people of good conscience that can lead to a sense of obligation to challenge power structures and hierarchies that perpetuate injustice and poor governance.

Chawowo! Ẹla ochiche ká

In the halls of power, echoes ring

Of promises and hopeful things

Yet, in practice, little is done

As poor governance hinders some.
