Spiritual knowledge of Christ should be personal. I cannot know Jesus through another person’s acquaintance with Him; I must know Him myself; I must know Him on my own account. It will be an intelligent knowledge—I must know Him, not as the visionary dreams of Him, but as the scriptures reveals Him. I must know His natures; I must know His offices—His attributes—His works—His shame—His glory. I must meditate on Him until I comprehend as much as possible the extent of His love for me. Help me not be ignorant of you in this week and beyond.
Philippians 3:8
