Professor Stephen Ejugwu Onah (FMAN, FIIA) is a Professor of Mathematics. He specializes in Numerical Computing and Stochastic Modelling. In March, 2010 he was appointed the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), University of Agriculture, Makurdi, he was also appointed as Director/Chief Executive, National Mathematical Centre, Abuja on 1st August 2016.
He was born on September 2, 1959 at Uje-Anchim in Oju Local Government Area, Benue State. He is an indigene of Benue in Nigeria and Igede by ethnic extraction.

The famous Kwame Nkruma Leadership Award, 2016: An award conferred on him by West African Students Union on 8th December, 2016.
Ambassador of Ethics and Conscience 2017: He was also inducted into the Ethics and Conscience Hall of fame by Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation – 2017.
Man of the Year Award (2018) by the by Civil Society Network for Good Governance, among others.
Professor Onah is happily married to Mrs. Maria Inyangbe Onah with children. He is a great thinker. He loves reading, sight-seeing and picnicking. His other hobbies include in-door games, watching football, photography and music.
