In a build-up to party primary elections for various political offices, many qualified Igede indigenes came out with mouth-watering articles on social media platforms. Myekeemedia did an unedited collection of some articles found on Facebook in May 2022.
IN THE BUILD UP FOR OJU/OBI FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 2023; WHY IS PROF ODE EMMANUEL THE MOST QUALIFIED.
By Comr Ufana Peter Ojeka
While we agree that no one is less important or insignificant in the pursuit for the house of representatives seat come 2023, it’s pertinent to know too that some individuals should be at the top list of preference if we truly want to change the status quo.
I must admit that he(Prof Ode) is not a saint nor will he dress himself in a rope that’s not his. However, from among the large number of contestants for the number one political seat of Igede nation, make no mistake that he is the best.
You will agree with me that outside his educational status as Professor of forensic economics, a portfolio superior to all other contestants he has the best manifestos which upon execution will transform Igede fortune for the best. While some prefer to remain glued to the seat in order to clinch a juicy position such as ranking member, others believe in the game of matching money-to-money but, he remains steadfast to development, emancipation, and triumph of the land.
You can never have an educated man of his repute who doesn’t know what is deserving of his people. So far so good, he has from off national assembly sponsored a bill for an act to establish Public Health Practitioner Council Training School in Oju whence public hearing was few months ago. Also in waiting are eight (8) more bills, tell me to my face who is prepared like him?
Even though from the looks of things, zoning for this year and probably beyond has no root in Igede politics since those with the highest currency in their possession has and are still dirtying our elites pockets and blessings our mothers boxes with crested wrappers, Prof Ode comes from a setting in Igede that hasn’t enjoyed much of federal and state positions like her other counterparts. Giving him this chance which won’t only plaster fairness to our democracy but, an opportunity to showcase his will, abilities for the betterment of all.
As the day to decide the real power holder is getting closer, it will do Igede nation a lot good to entrust Prof Ode with this office. God willing, we shall meet at the general election with the opposition party since I am hopeful of victory from the party primaries.
