HAPPY DAY ṀYẸKẸẸMEDIA FAMILY 002

It may seem daunting to travel backward a generation or two in order to understand the root cause of our problem- the proclivity to embrace violence at slightest provocation and the posture of duplicity displayed after the crisis. When people fight and in a twinkling of an eye embrace themselves again, it calls for a careful examination. But paradoxically, in some cases, a generation is barely the blink of an eye.

All of us face barriers—physical, cultural, political, spiritual and temporal—every day. Some are unquestionably real, while others are plainly artificial—expectations about how well a given system can function, or how much change is too much, or what kinds of behaviours are acceptable. The next time you encounter such a barrier, imposed by people who lack your imagination and drive and creativity, think hard about ignoring it. Solving a problem is hard enough; it gets that much harder if you have decided beforehand it can’t be done.

It takes a truly original thinker to look at a problem that everyone else has already looked at and find a new avenue of resolving it. Why is this so rare? Perhaps because most of us, when trying to figure out a problem, gravitate toward the nearest and most obvious cause. It’s hard to say whether this is learned behaviour or if it dates to our distant past.

Wanted!!! Set of people that will think outside the box and help us navigate this period- when people will fight for no just reason and be friends again in a twinkling of an eye. When people will destroy, look the other way and be surprised why the other person is finding it hard to forgive. When nothing will be done as punitive measure and everybody is expected to move on. When smiling is a sign of peace. When offering of a green leaf in the face of a camera is better than discussion. Peace is more in the heart than a smiling face. Let us be intentional in resolving our differences with all sincerity devoid of sentiment and political acrobatic. We have a path we must take or we perish- no middle ground.
