THE DANCE OF CONFUSION
In shadows of tradition, a soul astray,
Exchanging virtues for a foreign sway.
Lost values crumble, like ancient stone,
Confusion sown in roots that were once known.
Take me back to the Igede of the 70s.
A dance with shadows, values now misplaced,
Foreign echoes drown what once embraced.
In moral fog, a compass spins astray,
As roots of virtue slowly decay.
Take me to the Igede of the 80s if the 70s is too far.
Silent whispers of a culture lost,
Values traded, a hefty cost.
Confused hearts beat to a foreign drum,
Morality fades, a setting sun.
Take me to the Igede of the 90s if the 80s is far.
How the past become history and nothing ever remains the same.
In borrowed robes of a distant creed, the dance of confusion is becoming too ugly to behold.
Take me back to the times where lies, dishonesty, greed, selfishness, violence, immorality, wickedness and injustice are as scarce as the hen’s teeth.
